Voltour

Privacy

Voltour collects only the account and planning data needed to run the e-bike planner, keep accounts secure, and operate subscriptions.

Data we use

Account email, password hash, email-verification state, MFA/passkey settings, saved routes, bike profiles, calibration logs, partner applications, station reports, comments, and uploaded station photos where you choose to submit them.

Local browser data

Route caches, the active plan, queued charger verifications, language preference, and ad preference may be stored on your device. The planner footer includes controls to reset ad preference and clear local route data.

Processors and data sources

Routing, geocoding, weather, map tiles, email delivery, payments, and optional ads may involve BRouter, OpenStreetMap/Nominatim, Open-Meteo, OpenFreeMap, the mail server, Stripe, and Google AdSense after consent.

If ads are enabled, Google and other advertising technology providers may place or read cookies, use web beacons, process IP addresses and device identifiers, and use information about the page or app context to serve, measure, and protect ads. Google explains its partner-site data use at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Voltour does not send account email, saved-route IDs, charger-photo URLs, or exact route coordinates to Google for ad targeting. Ads are disabled on route-output screens unless a Google-certified consent management platform is active and the deployment is explicitly configured for ads.

Location and ads

Route planning uses precise start, destination, via-point, and map-location data to calculate tours. This data can reveal home, work, travel, or health-related intent. Voltour does not request Google ads on generated route, saved-route, shared-route, admin, partner, login, registration, or other account screens unless a separate just-in-time disclosure and consent flow is enabled.

Your choices

Ad consent is optional and can be withdrawn from the planner footer when ads are enabled. For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, Voltour requires a Google-certified Consent Management Platform before requesting AdSense ads. You can delete your account in the account menu. For access, correction, deletion, portability, or objection requests, contact contact@voltour.bike.

Station photos are processed to remove metadata before use. Public station reports may be moderated and published without exposing your email. Payment card data is handled by Stripe, not by Voltour.
